The Ideal Choice for Sugar and Organic Liquor Decolorization
GY1030 is a 10×30 mesh high-activity granular activated carbon designed for the purification and decolorization of a wide range of aqueous solutions and organic liquids in fixed beds handling low to medium viscosity liquids.
Produced from selected premium bituminous coal by an agglomeration process, it offers high activity and good hardness. The steam activation step is tightly controlled to generate high surface area and an optimal pore size for adsorbing colour bodies and odour molecules from solution. Acid washing is available to reduce ash and iron content.

Typical Applications
- Sugar refining and acid liquor decolorization.
- Continuous decolorization cycles that lower overall carbon cost.
- Chemical industry: decolorization and purification of glycerol, succinic acid, organic esters, soda ash, hydrochloric acid and more.
- Not suitable for most batch processes; continuous fixed-bed operation is recommended.
Reactivation Service
- GY1030 can be reused in most processes through a thermal reactivation system.
- We provide spent carbon reactivation services to help customers reduce total cost.
- High activity recovery and low carbon loss after reactivation deliver clear economic benefits.
